In 1978 Doug & LaRayne Jackson purchased Larsen Transfer & it has been a family owned & operated business ever since.

Over the last 35 years together these guys have worn many different hats. All three have had experience out on the trucks, local moves, long distance moves, office moves, role of warehouseman, dispatch and sales. Dean settled in as owner of Larsen Transfer, Rick is our salesman, and Shawn is our operations manager.

Our History
Family-owned and deeply local, Larsen Transfer has a rooted history in the Inland Northwest. We are a small family-owned company with a deep sense of belonging. Larsen Transfer was originally known as Penland Brothers. It was one of the first moving companies located west of the Mississippi with locations in the state of Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Brothers Evan and Darvelle Larsen purchased the company in the early 1960’s and changed the name to Larsen Transfer, Inc. They became an agent for United Van Lines and expanded to Richland, WA. Douglas and LaRayne Jackson purchased the Richland, WA and Pendleton, OR agencies in August 1978. They kept the name Larsen Transfer and Incorporated in 1979, making the official name Tri-City United, Inc., DBA Larsen Transfer Company.
As a local, small, family-owned and operated company, we are deeply embedded into the fabric of the communities we serve.
