Spring is just around the corner in the Tri-Cities, WA. That means cherry blossoms, endless sunshine, longer days, and warmer weather. It’s also prime time for moving. Whether you’re thinking of relocating to the Tri-Cities or moving to your dream home locally, Tri-Cities offers neighborhoods that are safe, growing, full of local amenities and entertainment options. Here are some of our favorite neighborhoods.

West Richland

This is a no-brainer. SafeWise named West Richland as one of the safest communities in Washington. The area is growing significantly and offers beautiful custom home communities in a tranquil rural setting. They also boast good schools, parks, and local activities, making it a great place to raise a family. West Richland is surrounded by lush vineyards, which means the city is only a hop and a skip away from Red Mountain AVA, the area’s wine country. Safety is also the number one priority. In 2012, the West Richland Police held a 92% clearance rate on all violent crimes. If you’re looking for places to move in tri-cities, WA, West Richland might be the place to move.

South Richland

For years, Richland boasted one of the highest concentrations of PhDs in the country. The newer areas in the city like South Richland and the Queensgate/Duportail neighborhoods feature planned residential communities with new beautiful custom homes, local eateries, retail, and entertainment options. Both communities are experiencing significant commercial growth, adding new shopping options and restaurants. If you want to move to an area with lots of opportunity and growth in the tri-cities, WA South Richland may be the perfect fit.

West Pasco

West Pasco has experienced tremendous growth in the last ten years. The family-friendly community has attracted young families and working professionals from all over the state. It is also one of the fast-growing real estate markets in the Tri-Cities, WA. People are attracted to the cost of living, the number of affordable homes in great neighborhoods, and all the commercial activity surrounding Road 68 in Pasco. During the Summer and Fall months, residents can enjoy the bounty of the harvest and the thrill of shopping for fresh produce at the Pasco Farmer’s Market. In Downtown Pasco, residents can enjoy a variety of retail establishments, Mexican shops, panaderias, restaurants, and cultural events.

In 2015, Pasco saw the most growth in construction, growing by about 30 percent to $43 million during the third quarter of last year compared with the same months the previous year. Projects started during those months include Marie Curie STEM Elementary, Delta High School and the remodel of the Tri-Cities Airport terminal.

Southridge

Southridge is another high-growth area with lots to offer. In the past year alone, the area has seen the completion of several new restaurants, a hospital, an office space, apartments, and a host of recreational opportunities. The much-awaited Carousel of Dreams opened last year inside the Southridge Sports Complex, and it quickly became a favorite among young families. The Southridge Farmer’s Market, open during the Summer and Fall is another local favorite, featuring local produce, crafts, and artisanal goods.
